Special Guest: Wiley A. Chambers, MD
Interview with David M. Brown, MD, FACS
IntRIS hosted the Atlantic Coast Retina Club (ACRC) Macula 2024, led by Dr. K. Bailey Freund.
Founded by retina specialists Ronald Carr, Paul Henkind, and Lawrence Yannuzzi, the meetings evolved into the Atlantic Coast Retina Club, an annual event initiated by Stuart Fine, Jerry Shields, and Lawrence Yannuzzi. Following a format of rapid-fire single case presentations and engaging discussions, these conferences cover diverse retinal topics. The meetings, held alternatingly in Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City, and Boston, uphold the esteemed traditions of the ACRC and Macula Meetings.
This year's conference in New York City delved into critical issues in retinal diseases and treatments, featuring discussions on ongoing pharmacologic and gene therapy trials, advancements in retinal imaging, applications of artificial intelligence in retina, and surgical management of retinal diseases.
We had a special guest, Wiley A. Chambers, MD, for an interview with David M. Brown, MD, FACS, on the last day of the conference.
